This morning Lindsay Gray visited Little Red Hen and we created a compost heap. The little ones were perched on jungle gyms so as not to miss out on any of the action. Lindsay explained the importance of compost and how easy it is for us to make our own. The children played an active roll in establishing the compost heap by each taking a turn to add peelings, grass, leaves etc. Jonathan handed Lindsay some flowers and to say thank you for spending some time with us.
